1. Overview
ORaffle is an open-source, cross-platform application developed by Víctor Carreras as part of the WidgetSuite ecosystem. This policy describes how we handle your information. We believe in privacy by design: we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
2. Information Collection & Usage
2.1. Local Data Only
ORaffle operates on a "Local-First" principle. All data you generate remains exclusively on your device. We store:
- Raffle Data: Lists of participants, names, and giveaway configurations.
- History: Past winners and results of your raffles.
- Settings: Theme preferences, language selection, and UI configurations.
2.2. No Analytics or Telemetry
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or any other tracking software. We do not track your usage patterns, location, or device identifiers. Your draws are private and stay on your hardware.
3. Third-Party Services
ORaffle is designed to be self-contained. It does not communicate with external servers or third-party APIs for its core functionality. No data is sent to us or any third party during the process of picking a winner.
4. Device Permissions
To function correctly, the app may request the following permissions:
- Storage (Read/Write): Required if you choose to import participant lists from files or export your raffle results.
- Internet: While the app doesn't track you, internet access might be used only for checking for updates or accessing the open-source repository links.
5. Data Security
- No Cloud Sync: Since there is no cloud backend, your data cannot be breached from a remote server.
- Offline Capability: The app functions completely offline. Your raffle logic runs locally, ensuring transparency and speed.
6. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. Because the app does not require an account and collects no personal data, it is safe for use by all ages.
7. Open Source License
This project is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). This ensures transparency and allows you to audit the code to verify our privacy claims.
8. User Rights & Data Control
Since we do not hold your data, you have full control on your device:
- Deletion: You can delete specific raffles within the app or uninstall the app to remove all local data immediately.
- Transparency: As open
